Our Story
Most belts start with leather. This one started in an AGA.
Tadhg & Co. began with a simple idea - a polo belt buckle I couldn't find anywhere else.
The first version was a rough sketch at university. It stayed that way for years, parked while I focused on a career in the corporate world. But the idea never quite left.
When I came back to it, there was a clear goal: create something properly made - with a transparent production journey, and as much of it rooted in the UK as possible.
Finding the right leather was the easy part.
The real challenge was the buckle.
What followed was years of trial and error - refining designs, testing metals, and learning far more about casting than I ever expected. At one point, I was even making prototypes in my mother's AGA (thanks, Mum).
This wasn't about launching something quickly - it was about getting it right.
Somewhere between those early failures and that very unconventional workshop, the design finally clicked.
Today, that same attention to detail runs through everything we make.
